You will need at least an U.S. brokerage account.  Full service brokerage firm and discount brokerage firm both have their advantages and disadvantages.  If you like more information regarding this matter, please visit this page on buying stock online.

No, most of the stocks, even global stocks, that we recommend are tradable right here on the U.S. exchange.  This will save you the trouble of opening a brokerage account in many different foreign countries.

An option is a right to purchase or sell a security at an agreed price before a certain date.

An option consists of the following characteristics:

Underlying Security:  The stock which an option owner can purchase or sell before the option expiration date with the strike price.

Strike Price:  The agreed price at which an option owner can purchase or sell the underlying security.

Option Expiration Date: An option expiring in a certain month will expire on that month's third Friday.

An option's worth depends on the underlying security's price and the time before its expiration date, the premium and time value, respectively.

A put option is a right to sell its underlying security.  A call option is a right to purchase its underlying security.

Occasionally when we engage in trades to take advantage of imminent insider news, we will trade option for maximum profit potential with a strictly limited downside risk.

Otherwise, options are not frequently traded.  Please read the page on stock option trading.  This is because the true impact on your portfolio is much bigger if you invest accordingly into the stocks we feature.

Your brokerage account needs to have at least level one option trading approval.  This gives you the ability to buy and sell options.

Please send your questions to the email we have provided to you at signup to receive priority handling.
